Benog Hill Bird Santuary

Tour Summary
 

The home of the near extinct Mountain Quail and also oneof the most popularHalf day hikes in Mussoorie is the Benog hill trek.  It is also the best way to get into the wild in the shortest period of time. Situated inside the Mountain Quail Bird sanctuary, the trek passes through a thick forest of Oak, Deodar and Rhododendron trees. It a treat for bird watchers and nature enthusiasts alike with beautiful views of the snow peaks and Yamuna river.
We also have a temple dedicated to Jwala Devi on the top of the mountain ringing whose bell is the perfect way to reach the top of the mountain

Tour Summary
 

Located at a height of around 8000 feet above the sea level is a temple dedicated to lord Balbhadra (lord Krishna’s brother), this trek is a best way to observe the contrast in ecology of Mussoorie, on one side we have lush green forests however on this trail we discover totally bare grasslands.
With the great Himalayas on one side and the plains on the other you can actually witness geographical boundaries on this walk
The trek starts from the Milkman’s village (Dhudli) who at one time used to walk up to Mussoorie to provide Buffalo milk to its residents.
The temple also plays host to an annual fair which is held in the month of August on which people come from far way to make milk offerings to Lord Bhalbhadra.
The views on this trek whether at the shivaliks or the vast grasslands are always a pleasure

Tour Summary
As the second highest peak visible from Dehradun, Top Tibba (Tibba means Mountain in Garwhali) is a beautiful trek located on the east of Suakholi village near Mussoorie. On clear days this trek offers a view of the complete Himalayan panorama and on exceptionally clear days Nanda Devi, 242 km to the east may be viewed. The trek also offers beautiful views of Shivalik hills and Doon Valley on the other side.
The Trek is best in early mornings before the sun gets too high up
